Retired staff member Thomas Turnbull has passed away

The University recently learned that Thomas Turnbull passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026. Thomas served the University for over 25 years as an accompanist in the Department of Music, retiring in 2022. 

The Department of Music shared this reflection, “Tom was a cherished friend and a genuinely warm, joyful presence to all who knew him. He was also a deeply supportive collaborator and a gifted musician.” Read more here.
