External doors to lock during Dec. 17 safety test

The University Police Department will conduct a full functionality test of the newly installed emergency lockdown system on the Reynolda Campus on Wednesday, Dec. 17, between 11 a.m. and noon. During this time, all external doors will be locked. Deacon OneCards will not provide building access during the test. Entry into buildings will only be possible if someone opens the door from the inside. You may exit the building at any time during the lockdown. Normal operations will resume immediately after testing is complete.

Emergency testing is an important part of the University’s ongoing safety preparedness and helps ensure all systems function as expected.
