Chaplain’s Emergency Fund: A resource to give and receive help
The Chaplain’s Emergency Fund strengthens the Wake Forest community by offering opportunities to both give generously and receive compassionate support when unexpected challenges arise. Supported primarily through donations, the fund provides financial assistance to students, faculty, staff, and contract workers across the University.
Individuals working on the Reynolda Campus, at Graylyn, Wake Downtown, or through contracted campus partners may qualify for financial support to help cover essential living expenses such as housing, utilities, and uninsured medical costs.
The Wake Forest community has a long tradition of caring for one another. The Chaplain’s Emergency Fund reflects the University’s Pro Humanitate spirit, offering a meaningful way to extend support during moments of need. A financial gift of any amount makes an immediate impact on Wake Foresters facing unexpected challenges.
How to give support
Wake Forest employees may contribute through a one-time or recurring payroll deduction gift. Note “Chaplain’s Emergency Fund” in the Other/Designation section of the Payroll Deduction Authorization Form.
One-time or recurring Online Donation can be made using the prepopulated Chaplain’s Emergency Fund link.
Contributions by mail can also be made by calling 336.758.5210 or emailing the Chaplain’s Office at chaplain@wfu.edu.
How to receive help
Individuals experiencing an unexpected financial challenge may be eligible for confidential assistance through the Chaplain’s Emergency Fund. Applicants are encouraged to review eligibility details before applying. Applications are processed as promptly as possible; however, they are not reviewed after hours, on weekends, or when the University is closed.
