The Center for Functional Materials invites the Wake Forest community to attend the 3rd annual CFM Research Day on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 from 2–4 p.m. in Benson 410.

The Center brings together researchers from physics, chemistry, engineering, and the School of Medicine to explore materials designed with specific functions in mind, such as conducting electricity, responding to light, or enabling new forms of energy storage or sensing. Research Day provides a space for faculty, postdocs, and students to share their current work, discuss new tools and techniques, and identify potential interdisciplinary collaborations.

Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome, whether you are currently engaged in materials-related research or simply curious to learn how functional materials shape technologies and innovations across fields.
