Required general safety training from EHS 

In alignment with OSHA requirements to provide a workplace free from recognized hazards, the Office of Environmental Health & Safety is expanding required safety training to include all faculty and staff. 

In the coming week, those who have not yet completed this training will receive an email from the training platform HSI to access the following online training modules: 

1. Emergency and Fire Preparedness
2. Fire Extinguisher Use 
3. Office Ergonomics
4. Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls 

Each module takes less than 20 minutes to complete, and the entire training is conducted online with no in-person components. “Fire Extinguisher Use” training is required annually; all others are a one-time requirement:
