Volunteers needed for annual DESK event

DESK (Discovering Education through Student Knowledge) returns on April 1, with a rain date of April 8. This annual event brings together Wake Forest students, faculty, and staff to create personalized study spaces for local Title I elementary school children. Each year, approximately 55 desks are designed and painted, ensuring children have a dedicated place to learn and grow.

DESK also serves as a fundraiser for the Wake Forest Freedom School. Donations can be made, here.

Faculty and staff are invited to participate during a special Pro Humanitate Days shift from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Volunteers are needed to prime desks before they are painted and decorated. Register to volunteer.
