The Center for the Advancement of Teaching will host the inaugural Teacher-Scholar Forum, taking place on April 29–30. Inspired by the success of the 2022 Inclusive Teaching Conference and made possible through a partnership with the Office of the Provost and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, this annual event will bring together faculty from across Wake Forest’s schools to explore and celebrate the teacher-scholar ideal.

This year, the forum will feature renowned author James Lang, a leading voice in teaching and learning. Lang has written over 250 columns for The Chronicle of Higher Education and authored six books. His latest work, Distracted: Why Students Can’t Focus and What You Can Do About It, challenges educators to apply their teaching skills to their writing, perfectly embodying the forum’s mission.

In addition to the forum’s events, Lang will lead a pre-conference workshop for up to 30 participants on Monday afternoon, April 28. Registration is now open for all events at go.wfu.edu/teacher-scholar-forum.
