Faculty Committees affirm Wake Forest’s commitment to academic and athletic excellence

The following is a message from the Faculty Athletic Committee and Faculty Senate Committee on Athletics.

During the last year, the landscape of college athletics has changed dramatically. In the face of such change, collaborative committees of faculty, athletics staff, and administrators have been working together to ensure that Wake Forest stays true to its commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics. 

In the months ahead, we will continue those collaborations to further the successful unification of academics and athletics, uphold the institution’s strategic framework, and maintain the University’s national profile. The Faculty Athletics Committee (FAC) and the Faculty Senate Committee on Athletics (SCA) members will also update faculty on continuing developments so that the University community can reinforce the holistic excellence that defines Wake Forest.
