President Susan R. Wente will deliver the annual presidential address on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall, Scales Fine Arts Center. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

A light reception for the campus community will follow in Upper Scales.

This event is hosted by the Office of the President in partnership with the Faculty Senate, Staff Advisory Council and Student Government.

A livestream of the address will be available on the President’s website.

Donations will be collected at the event to support those in Western North Carolina recovering from Hurricane Helene.

Items most needed:

  • Second Harvest Food Bank: Paper towels, trash bags, disinfecting cleaners (food safe), peanut butter and jelly (plastic containers only), pop-top complete meals (including soups), pop-top fruits in natural syrup, canned chicken or tuna, individual cereal bowls, family-sized shelf-stable milk
  • Humane Society: Cat food (wet or dry), dog food (wet or dry), kitten food (wet or dry), puppy food (wet or dry), cat litter, leashes/slip leads, pill pockets
  • Diaper Bank: Newborn, size 4 and size 5
