A message from the Office of the University Chaplain

The Office of the Chaplain is hosting a day of reflection and interfaith prayers for peace on Oct. 7. This day aims to bring together our diverse community in a spirit of unity and understanding, providing a space for individuals to share their reflections and prayers for peace across different faith traditions.

In a time when unity is crucial, these gatherings will serve as a reminder of the importance of interfaith dialogue. Attendees can use this opportunity to reflect on personal experiences, engage in thoughtful conversations, and embrace our differences and the shared values that bind us together. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to join.

Interfaith Prayers for Peace

  • Time: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Location: Manchester Quad (stage area)

Community Reflection Event

  • Location: Front Steps of Wait Chapel
  • Description: Students, faculty and staff are invited to pause, reflect, and write a prayer or light a candle for peace. Select members of the Wake Forest community will offer prayers and readings for peace.

These events are an opportunity to deepen your own spiritual journey and be reminded of the significance of empathy and kindness in our daily lives. We encourage you to come with an open heart and mind as we gather to pray, reflect and support one another.

Let’s come together in the spirit of Pro Humanitate to acknowledge our differences and commonalities in faith, fostering a sense of belonging within our community at Wake Forest.

If you have any questions, contact the Office of the Chaplain at chaplain@wfu.edu. We look forward to seeing you there.
