Longtime mathematics professor David Wilson has died

Associate Professor of the Practice David Wilson passed away on June 15. He was 77.

Wilson served the University mathematics department for 30 years.

The middle of three children, he attended Morehead High School, and then Wake Forest University where he received a BS in Mathematics (‘69). He was a lifelong learner and gifted educator. His passion for teaching eventually led him back to his alma mater, Wake Forest, where he was teaching and tutoring until his retirement in 2015.

We extend our condolences to Wilson’s family and friends and to those who had the opportunity to know him.
