The Lam Museum of Anthropology invites the public to their African Music Open House on Saturday, April 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. The Museum will celebrate the diversity of African music and culture in conjunction with the exhibit “Beyond Drumming: African Musical Instruments.”

The event will feature live music and dance performances from Otesha Creative Arts Ensemble  at 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. and the WFU African and Caribbean Student Association at 3 p.m. The Open House will feature crafts and activities for all ages. Authentic African food will be for sale from the African Avenue food truck. Visitors will also be able to explore two additional exhibits about African arts and culture and learn about university and community organizations at their booths.

Admission is free.
