Faculty Survey of Student Engagement: April 2-May 13

Wake Forest University will be administering the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) to all full- and part-time faculty this Spring 2024 semester. The FSSE is designed to complement the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which was administered earlier this year. This faculty version focuses on:

  • Faculty perceptions of how often students engage in different activities.
  • The importance faculty place on various areas of learning and development.
  • The nature and frequency of faculty-student interactions.
  • How faculty organize their time, both in and out of the classroom.

The web-based survey will launch on Tuesday, April 2, when eligible faculty will receive an email invitation from Provost Michele Gillespie containing a personalized link to the survey.  Three additional email reminders will be sent via email through Wednesday April 17. The survey closes on Monday, May 13.

Wake Forest University will not receive any identifying faculty information from FSSE. The University and the Office of Institutional Research encourage faculty to complete this survey to contribute to a holistic view of student engagement at Wake Forest.
