On Thursday, April 4, UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters will land on Wake Forest University’s Poteat Field as part of an ROTC training exercise.
The aircraft are scheduled to land around 3:15 p.m. and will transport ROTC cadets to Camp Butner Training Center for a joint field training exercise with other ROTC programs from North Carolina A&T and Appalachian State.
The training allows cadets from the “No Fear” battalion to learn about Army aviation operations and coordinate and plan with military units including the US Army Reserve aviation unit. The “No Fear” battalion includes ROTC cadets from Wake Forest, Winston-Salem State University and Salem College.
