University seal viewed through ironwork WFThe WFU Disability Studies Institute is hosting a course development program in the summer of 2024 for WFU faculty.

This program, “Disability Studies Across the Curriculum,” is designed to help faculty meaningfully integrate disability studies into our courses. Faculty who would like to develop a new course module or a new course that engages with disability studies will complete a 2-day workshop in May 2024.

Following the workshop, faculty participants will prepare course modules or syllabi on their own over the summer. Faculty participants will reconvene in early August 2024 to discuss their work and share their newly developed course modules or syllabi. A stipend of $1,000 is available for up to 15 faculty participants.

Applications are due April 1. For more information and the application, please visit the program website. This program is sponsored by the Provost’s Fund for Academic Innovation, the Office of the Dean of the College, and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT).
