Former U.S. Representative Liz Cheney and Jon Meacham, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, will be on campus for two Face to Face Speaker Series events on Thursday, Feb. 22 – a student-led conversation and the keynote event.

Tickets sold out early in the season for the Face to Face Speaker Forum keynote event at 7:30 p.m. Complimentary tickets for faculty, staff and students are unavailable.

However, Wake Forest faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the Face to Face student-led event with Cheney at 5 p.m. in Wait Chapel.

The following information below will be helpful if you plan to come.

  • The event is free. A WFU ID is required.
  • Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
  • Seating is General Admission
  • Walk-through security scanners will be in place and a clear bag policy will be in effect. All bags will be checked.

“We look forward to welcoming faculty, staff and students to the student-led event in Wait Chapel,” said Face to Face Executive Director Sue Henderson. “As is always the case with our Face to Face student-led events, the conversation is sure to be lively and engaging.”

Tips: If you would like to attend the student-led event, plan to arrive early. If possible, consider leaving purses and bags in dorms and offices to ease crowding at the security check stations.

There will be increased security on campus during Cheney’s visit, and parking on campus will be extremely limited around event times.
