Japanese Langauge Conference posterThe Japanese Program in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures will host the second annual North Carolina Japanese Language Student Conference on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Benson University Center.

The conference program will include presentations by students from Appalachian State University, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Greensboro, Western Carolina and Wake Forest University. Ten Wake Forest students in the Japanese Program will be sharing their research projects and speeches in Japanese.

Consul General from the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta and the executive director of the Japan-America Society of North Carolina will give opening remarks.

The conference is sponsored by the Japan Foundation Los Angeles, Wake Forest University’s Office of the Provost, the URECA Center, and the Center for Global Programs and Studies.
