Traffic alert for Thursday, Aug. 31

Traffic will be heavy on University Parkway, surrounding roadways, and exits and entrances from Wake Forest’s Reynolda Campus as Wake Forest Football celebrates its opening game on Thursday, Aug. 31.

All faculty and staff members are invited to attend a tailgate on Baity St. starting at 5 p.m. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Whether you’re attending the tailgate or making your regular afternoon commute, plan on needing extra time for travel on Thursday afternoon. Those with concerns about afternoon commitments may want to speak with supervisors to avoid traffic congestion.

Also, as a reminder to the community, fireworks are shot off before and during football games.
