A message from the Center for Global Programs and Studies

Dear faculty and staff,

We hope you are taking time away from your busy routines to rest and enjoy time with family and friends. As the long days of summer arrive, we kindly request that you set a reminder to circle back to this important information regarding the International Travel Forms process when preparing for the fall semester.

Additionally, we hope that this timely reminder will be of benefit to new faculty and staff members who may not be aware of Wake Forest’s International Travel Policy.

In short, the health and safety of students, faculty and staff is of utmost importance. For this reason, all individuals traveling on University-sponsored international travel must follow the International Travel Policy (PDF) and submit a series of forms to the Center for Global Programs and Studies.

University-sponsored international travel includes any educational or business travel that is Wake Forest-sponsored, Wake Forest-administered, Wake Forest-organized, or conducted within one’s capacity as a representative of the University, regardless of credit or funding.

Wake Forest will not disburse funds for international travel until the required forms have been submitted and approved.

All required forms must be submitted at least one month before individual travel begins.

Please include this important information in your welcome packets/orientations for new faculty and in any newsletters that you share with your team members. We are grateful for your assistance in keeping the WFU community in compliance with this policy.

Please check the Center for Global Programs and Studies website for more details and email gps@wfu.edu if you have any questions.
