Wake Forest University staff are invited to the annual Staff Appreciation Celebration on Wednesday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sutton Center 4th Floor Gym (add to your calendar).
The celebration, hosted by the Staff Advisory Council, celebrates the hard work and dedication of staff across campus. Colleagues can expect food stations, games, a photo booth, and giveaways. President Susan Wente, Vice President Shea Kidd Brown, Vice President Dedee DeLongpré Johnston, and Assistant Vice President Warrenetta Mann will share a few words with attendees at noon.
Shuttles will be operating from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a continuous loop from the following locations:
University Corporate Center (UCC)
Wake Downtown
Graylyn
Additionally, the Staff Advisory Council is asking for event volunteers to help make this event a reality. Colleagues who can offer 1.5 hours of their time should complete this form and the SAC Event Planning Committee will be in touch with more information. Colleagues are also invited to participate in a pro humanitate project benefiting Samaritan Ministries, an interdenominational, volunteer-based Christian ministry providing those in need in the Winston-Salem and Forsyth County areas with food and shelter. Participate by donating online or purchasing from their Amazon Wish-list. Collection boxes will also be provided at the picnic to collect the following high-need items:
Kool-Aid
Dry pasta
Canned fruits and vegetables
Seasoning: Old Bay, lemon pepper, poultry, dill, garlic power, onion powder, taco, paprika
