Congratulations to the following Wake Forest faculty and staff members who have had proposals funded.
Terry Brock, manager of archaeology and research, director of CHARG whose proposal “Africatown Cemetery Project” has been funded by Jones Archaeology.
Peter Brubaker, professor of health and exercise science, whose proposal “Does a tailored-progressive physical activity intervention before and during non-Hodgkin lymphoma anthracycline-based chemotherapy preserve exercise capacity, QOL, cardiac and cognitive function?” has been funded by the National Institute s of Health and WFU Health Sciences.
Veronica Cole, assistant professor of psychology, whose proposal “Understanding How Approaches to Calibrating and Scoring Survey Item Responses Affect Results from Growth Mixture Models” has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the University of Virginia.
Martin Guthold, professor of physics, whose proposal “Standardization of SEM Analysis for Fibrin Fiber Diameter Measurement” has been funded by the International Society on Thrombosis & Haemostasiss.
Lauren Lowman, assistant professor of engineering, whose proposal “ORE-CZ: Integrating vegetation phenology to understand the sensitivity of dynamic water storage to changes in snowpack and rainfall using remote sensing data and hydrology modeling” has been funded by the National Science Foundation.
Gloria Muday, professor of biology, whose proposal “Developing predictive indicators of reproductive heat stress tolerance in tomatoes” has been funded by the US-Israel Binational Agricultural Research & Development Fund.
Walter Rejeski, professor of health and exercise science, whose proposal “Molecular transducers of physical activity consortium coordinating center (CCC)” has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the University of Florida.
