Jayawickreme to receive Early Career Contributions Award

Harold W. Tribble Professor of Psychology Eranda Jayawickreme has been selected to receive the Early Career Contributions Award from the International Society for the Science of Existential Psychology.

The award recognizes early-career professionals who have earned their doctorate or entered their relevant professional career within the last 10 years, and who have made sustained and/or substantial contributions to the science of existential psychology.

The science of existential psychology applies the research methods of contemporary psychological science to better understand the dynamics of the human condition.

He will accept the award at the 2023 Existential Psychology Conference to be held virtually on Feb. 22.

Jayawickreme is the director of the Growth Initiative Lab and is a senior research fellow in Wake Forest’s Program for Leadership and Character. He is also an associate editor for both the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology: PPID and Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being.
