Police BuildingTo more fully integrate campus physical security technology with 24/7 monitoring and response, the Wake Forest Physical Security Technology and Deacon OneCard Office, currently reporting to Residence Life & Housing, will report to the Assistant Vice President and Chief of University Police Regina Lawson beginning Jan. 1.

This organizational shift will align campus-wide safety and security services and support the development of a comprehensive, real-time monitoring center in the University Police Department (WFUPD).

Physical Security Technology and Deacon OneCard staff is responsible for all aspects of physical security technology –  including cameras, card readers, automatic door operators and locking devices – for the Reynolda, Brookstown, and Charlotte campuses, athletic facilities, and other properties owned by Wake Forest. Members of the Wake Forest community use the Deacon OneCard for identification, on-campus financial transactions, library privileges, event admission and building access. All services will continue without disruption during the transition. The Deacon OneCard office will remain in Angelou Residence Hall, Suite 001.

WFUPD is composed of professionally trained police officers, security officers, communications officers, and support staff whose primary concern is to protect and assist the campus community.
