posterWake Forest University and the Department of East Asian Languages and Studies will host the first N.C. Japanese Language Student Conference on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Benson University Center.

This is the first student conference in Japanese in the state.

The conference will host more than 30 student presenters from Appalachian State University, UNC-Charlotte, Western Carolina and Wake Forest University.

Seventeen Wake Forest students in the Japanese Program will be sharing multimedia projects, speeches, and performances in Japanese.

Guest speakers include Vice-Consul from the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta and the president of the Japan-America Society of North Carolina.

Sponsors include the Japan Foundation Los Angeles and Wake Forest University’s Office of the Provost.
