In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the discovery of the Higgs boson elementary particle at CERN in Switzerland on Monday, July 4, Physics Magazine of the American Physical Society published Associate Professor of English in Creative Writing and Poet-in-Residence Amy Catanzano’s poem, “Higgs Boson: The Cosmic Glyph.”

APS Physics is the major membership organization for American physicists. The editors of Physics Magazine commissioned Catanzano to write the poem due to her research at CERN on the cutting-edge intersections of poetry and physics.
