Wake Forest University Theatre will close its 2021-2022 season with the musical “She Loves Me,” directed by theatre professor J.K. Curry.

Retiring Music Director David Hagy is conducting the production. This will be his final musical after 26 years at Wake Forest.

“She Loves Me”  is a  full orchestra musical about trying to find a perfect match in an imperfect world. Based on Miklós László’s play “Parfumerie,” the romantic comedy is set in 1930s Budapest. Debuting on Broadway in 1964, with major revivals in 1993 and 2016, the play speaks to the timeless challenge of finding true love.

Performances are April 1-2 & 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. and April 3 & 10 at 2 p.m. on the Tedford Stage of the Scales Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 senior citizens, and $7 students (price includes sales tax).
