keyboard and hearts graphicA guest post from Wake Forest University Information Services

Information Services invites the Wake Forest University community to explore digital accessibility by joining the #NoMouse Challenge. The challenge promotes awareness around accessible web design, encouraging everyone to explore the keyboard accessibility of websites they frequent by navigating without using a mouse or trackpad.

Wake Forest joins this global challenge and encourages all faculty, staff, and students to take 10 minutes out of their day from Feb. 14 – 18 to participate.

The ongoing work of digital accessibility strives to give all users, including those with disabilities, great access experiences when using digital tools. Websites that support equitable navigation using a keyboard have an important component of good web accessibility in place.

Take the challenge and submit your experience for a chance to win up to a $50 Target Gift Card.

Set aside your mouse and bring your coffee! Join the #NoMouse Challenge Zoom Coffee Chat on Feb. 16 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for demos and opportunities to share your experiences. Email tap@wfu.edu to be added to the calendar invite for the event.

The #NoMouse Challenge is co-sponsored by the Student Technology Advisory Committee and the Accessible Content Working Group. For more information is available here.
