A message from Wake Forest University Chaplain Tim Auman.

The annual Lovefeast on Dec. 5 is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the gifts we enjoy as a Wake Forest community. But there are many friends and colleagues on our campus who are struggling with financial hardship. The Chaplain’s Emergency Fund (CEF) was created to help faculty, staff and students who are facing a personal financial crisis.

The CEF serves employees on the Reynolda Campus, Wake Downtown and Graylyn as well as contractual workers with employers outside of Wake Forest. Giving is a simple joy of the season, and a gift to the CEF will provide immediate financial relief to members of our community.

You can make a gift to the Fund here. Wake Forest employees can donate through payroll deduction with a one-time gift or a recurring gift. (On the payroll deduction form, in the Pledge Distribution section under “Other:” enter your gift amount and type “Chaplain’s Emergency Fund” next to “Designation.”)

If you are a member of the Wake Forest community facing financial hardship, please visit this page to learn about applying for assistance.

Supporting each other and sharing traditions like Lovefeast unite us as a Wake Forest community. If participating in Lovefeast is not already a holiday tradition for you, we hope it will become one when you join the rest of the campus community for this unique Wake Forest experience.
