Reminder: Annual Central Heating Plant shutdown May 17-21

As a reminder, the Wake Forest University Central Heating Plant annual shutdown for maintenance and inspections will begin on Monday, May 17, at 3 p.m. and conclude Friday, May 21.

The steam outage will disable building heating and domestic hot water systems campus-wide. Barring any delays, steam pressure will return to normal by 6 p.m. on May 21.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • During the Central Heating Plant annual shutdown, online work order requests and telephone calls to extension x4255 will not be answered after 4:30 p.m.
  • If an urgent but non-emergency matter occurs between 4:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. this week, contact the University Police dispatch at extension x5591.
  • In the event of an emergency, dial x5911 (336.758.5911 if off campus) to reach the University Police emergency line.

Please contact Jimmy Nifong at 336.758.3332 with any questions related to the shutdown.
