Raymond L. Wyatt dies

We are saddened to announce that Raymond L. Wyatt, professor emeritus of biology, died Nov. 26. He was 94.

A private service will be held at a later date. An obituary appeared today in the Winston-Salem Journal.

Professor Wyatt joined Wake Forest’s biology faculty in 1956 and retired in 1992. A plant taxonomist, he started the herbarium in the biology department.

We grieve Professor Wyatt’s death and extend our condolences to his family and friends, as well as those at Wake Forest who had the opportunity to know him.
