Locklair composition performed by Winston-Salem Symphony for virtual concert Nov. 15

The Winston-Salem Symphony will perform Dan Locklair’s “In Memory – H.H.L.” for string orchestra on Dan Locklair poses beside his piano Sunday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. as part of “American Landscapes.” The virtual concert will be streamed live from the Stevens Center. Locklair, professor of music and composer-in-residence at Wake Forest University, wrote the composition in loving memory of his mother, Hester Helms Locklair.

Timothy Redmond, conductor and music director for the Symphony, will interview Locklair on Friday, Nov. 13 at 12 p.m. about his work and upcoming projects.
