Updates from Human Resources

Important reminder: COVID-19 tasks past-due in Workday

All faculty and staff were required to complete both the COVID-19 Education Module and COVID-19 Policy Review Acknowledgement prior to returning to campus or no later than August 25. Employees who have not completed these tasks are considered non-compliant with university COVID-19 policies and may have badge access temporarily revoked until all required tasks are complete. Please submit these items in Workday.

Updates to the Our Way Forward website

Wake Forest’s COVID-19 dashboard is now available. The dashboard will be updated every weekday.

Additionally, Our Way Forward has been updated with faculty and staff frequently asked questions related to “Compliance and Reporting” and “Face Coverings and Masks.”

Visitor and campus access policy update

In general, members of the Wake Forest community should not invite guests or visitors to campus unless their physical presence is essential to critical operations of the university. A dean, director or department head must pre-approve and ensure an approved is registered as a campus guest by completing the Campus Access Form.

All vendor access should be coordinated by contacting Procurement at procure@wfu.edu. View the complete Visitor and Campus Access Policy.

Additional highlights

  • The university recently updated the Wellness Screening Policy to allow an exemption for faculty and staff who will not come to any Wake Forest campus or property and would like to be exempt from completing the SneezSafe daily wellness screening survey. Faculty and staff may submit an exemption request by completing the wellness screening exemption form.
  • Beginning September 1, HR colleagues will be available on campus to collect I-9s at the cashier’s window in Reynolda Hall on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Thursdays from 1-4:30 p.m. Contact HR at (336) 758-4700 or askHR@wfu.edu with questions.
  • Prior to hiring or re-hiring students, managers should review the “Manager’s Guide for Student Employment” for key information about student employees. This guide is linked from human resources’ Aug. 26 email to faculty and staff.

Faculty and staff can continue to submit questions for HR using this form. HR will continue to answer them directly through email updates and centralized FAQs.
