Provost Kersh emailed the following message to students, faculty and staff on Feb. 13:

Greetings, Wake Forest community,

I hope this finds you in the middle of a rewarding semester. I am writing to you with updates on the work to date on the Plan for Academic Excellence. Many thanks to all of you who have been part of the 20+ gatherings on-campus discussing this topic specifically—the engagement of hundreds of you, including faculty, staff, students, board members, and alumni, is crucial momentum for the future of the project. And profound thanks to the members of the steering committee, chaired by Deans Gillespie and Iacovou, who have put in immeasurable hours of work thus far.

Next Thursday, February 20, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., the steering committee will be hosting an open house to solicit your advice about the future direction of the Plan for Academic Excellence while providing you with a summary of key themes that are emerging from our preliminary work. We invite you to please stop by any time in the window that you are able—we will be in Benson 401 A/D.

More information on the Plan for Academic Excellence may now be found at pae.wfu.edu. This website will be consistently updated with your feedback and our progress throughout this year.

Finally, any input or questions you have regarding this project may be directed to PAE@wfu.edu.

Looking forward to our continued engagement in this vital work.
