Secrest Artists Series presents the Danish String Quartet

Described by The Washington Post as “one of the best quartets before the public today,” the Danish String Quartet has established an international reputation for their integrated sound, impeccable intonation and interpretive depth. On Friday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. they will present a program of Haydn, Beethoven and the Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen in Brendle Recital Hall.

This event is presented by the Secrest Artists Series in coordination with the new Wake Forest Global AWAKEnings first-year study-abroad program in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“They could be grounded in their tone or mystical. They allowed time to stand still, and they could assume the pose of excitingly aggressive rockers. They did it all.” – Mark Swed, The Los Angeles Times
