WFDD receives regional Murrow Awards

88.5 WFDD, the public radio station located on campus, is the recipient of three Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards this year in the categories of “Excellence in Innovation,” “Newscast,” and “Overall Excellence.”

The Radio Television Digital News Association honors are among the most prestigious in broadcast and digital news. This is the first time WFDD has won the “Overall Excellence” award.

WFDD’s News Director, Emily McCord, says it’s further acknowledgement of the organization’s expanded, listener-focused coverage, and the entire news team is honored by this recognition. Find more information here.
