Pinder receives Most Promising New Textbook award

The Textbook & Academic Authors Association (TAA) has recognized Associate Professor of Management Jon Pinder with the Most Promising New Textbook award.

The book is entitled “Introduction to Business Analytics Using Simulation Models.”

The award recognizes excellence in first edition textbooks and learning materials. One judge described Pinder’s work as, “an impressive textbook that uniquely uses simulation methods to introduce business students to decision-making under uncertainty, and from beginning to end, wonderfully detailed, illustrative examples make this complex topic accessible to undergraduates.”

The textbook provides a foundation for managerial decision-making and business analytics. The award will be presented during the TAA annual conference on June 9.
