New details on Chelsea Clinton event at Wake Forest Sept. 13

This message was emailed by the University to students, faculty and staff on Sept. 12:

A Women in Leadership panel discussion featuring Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, will be held from 12:15 p.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Reynolda Hall. The event will take place in the Green Room, located on the first floor.

The event is organized and presented by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The panel discussion has reached capacity for attendance and is no longer accepting additional reservations to attend.  However, an overflow area will be provided for people on the Magnolia patio outside the Green Room.  Speakers will be set up on the patio so that the panel discussion can be heard there.  Access to the patio will be from two sets of outdoor stairs from the sidewalk below the patio, near The Pit.

It is expected that the event will have minimal impact on University operations and activities other than the area immediately surrounding the Green Room.  Reynolda Hall offices will be open as usual, along with the dining areas in the building.

Anyone with reservations to attend the event in the Green Room or with plans to listen from the patio will not be permitted to bring book bags or large bags into those areas.

People not attending the panel discussion are discouraged from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from using the main entrance to Reynolda Hall from Hearn Plaza.

Three parking lots will be closed for the event.

–Parking Lot N, between Kitchin and Poteat residence halls, closed at 5 p.m. today.
–Parking Lot M, on the east side of Reynolda Hall, will close at midnight tonight.
–Parking Lot C, on the west side of Reynolda Hall, will close at midnight tonight.

The lots will reopen at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
