HealthWhat is HELPS TLC? HELPS TLC is a medically directed, professionally supervised program designed to help WFU employees develop a healthy and active lifestyle using exercise and education.

What is the cost? The cost will be covered by Wake Forest.

What will you receive? Individualized assessments, therapies and follow-up; dietary intake is assessed through computer-analyzed food records; supervised exercise sessions at our conveniently located monitored exercise facility and weekly small group sessions will be held on campus in Worrell Professional Center.

Who will be helping you? The HELPS TLC staff consists of an exercise physiologist, registered nutritionist and health psychologist who work together to teach you behavioral strategies for the management of physical activity and eating.

We are currently taking applications for the next group which will start in September. Here are just a few things former participants are saying about their participation in TLC!

“With the help of the TLC staff, I have made great strides in my journey toward a healthier lifestyle!”

“Enjoyed participating in this program, it has given me the tools and motivation to do it on my own!”

“This program is making a big difference; after losing weight and eating healthier, I am now off my blood pressure medication and feeling great!”
