United Way recognizes WFU with Spirit of North Carolina Award

The United Way of North Carolina has recognized Wake Forest University with the Spirit of North Carolina Award for the University’s support of United Way in 2015.

“Each year, the United Way of North Carolina recognizes companies and organizations that have demonstrated strong community support through local United Way involvement,” according to a recent announcement by United Way.  “The Spirit of North Carolina Awards celebrate the partnership of people working together to develop and implement innovative solutions for long-term community change.”

For the third consecutive year, Forsyth County had the highest number of award recipients in the state. Forsyth County had seven recipients for the 2015 Spirit of North Carolina Award.  There were 33 winners in the state.

Wake Forest received the same award for 2014, also.
