Learn about local food insecurity, sign up for ‘impact tour’

UnitedwayEach October, Wake Forest has a campus-wide community campaign, WakeUnited, to support the United Way of Forsyth County, but our partnership with the United Way in solving local problems is ongoing year around.

To learn more about food insecurity in our area, please join us on Wednesday, June 4, from noon to 1:30 p.m. on a bus tour with a box lunch provided for each participant.  This is a special impact tour just for Wake Forest employees, and the tour pick up and drop off spot is in front of Z. Smith Reynolds Library.

Hunger can be eliminated if all of us are willing to address the root issues centered around education, financial stability, and health. Come learn about how United Way, partner agencies, and other community providers are responding to hunger, and join the discussion about how we can eventually end hunger here at home.
