Melissa Clark, a former administrative assistant in the School of Business, passed away Dec. 9, 2013. Clark’s commitment to Wake Forest and the Winston-Salem community is the inspiration behind two fundraising efforts. The Charity Classic Auction on Friday, April 4, and the Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 5, will benefit the Melissa Clark Children’s Fund.
The second annual El Buen Camino 5K on Saturday, April 5, is sponsored by WakeHealth and supports El Buen Pastor Latino Community Services of Winston-Salem. Further details and registration are available on the El Buen Pastor website.
The 5th Annual DODGE Melanoma Dodgeball Tournament on Sunday, April 13, supports the Melanoma Research Foundation. The tournament is held in memory of Maria Whitehead, who was a member of the first Wake field hockey team to win both ACC and NCAA championships.
