Dozens of Facilities and Campus Services staff watched on Tuesday afternoon as a large crane lifted a 42,000-pound boiler over the Wake Forest power plant, then lowered it through a hole in the roof to its final position inside.
The new boiler, which joins two that have been heating the campus since 1956, will provide added capacity and increased efficiency.
