Charlotte Center wins design award

Charlotte Center

American School and University has given Wake Forest and Jenkins-Peer Architects the award for Adaptive Re-Use Design in its 2012 Architectural Portfolio. The Portfolio celebrates the best in education design.

The jury comments included: “Remarkable transformation of a tired building with multi-use, technology-driven spaces. Great recognition of the institution. Collaborative, flexible learning spaces.”

The award was given for the design of the Charlotte Center, which is part of the Schools of Business. Wake Forest relocated to the space at 200 N. College Street in January 2012.
