Faccinto exhibit to open in New York

“Victor Faccinto: A Three Decade Survey” will open November 20 at the Luise Ross Gallery in New York City. The exhibition includes painting, sculpture, photography and video created between 1973 and 2010. Faccinto has been the director of the Charlotte and Philip Hanes Art Gallery since 1978. The exhibition will focus on his recent video. Using a process more akin to sculpture than linear filmmaking, he digitally removes moving images from their backgrounds and utilizes them as “bricks and lumber” to reconstruct a “video sculpture.”
