Wake Forest University has promoted Nancy Crouch to assistant chief information officer and Anne Bishop to director of research and development in the Information Systems department.

Crouch has been director of technology outreach and special assistant to the vice president since joining the university’s staff in 1997. Previously, she founded and directed the Western Triad Science and Mathematics Alliance, which was housed at Wake Forest. She also taught in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system and in Virginia. Crouch received a bachelor of arts degree from Virginia Tech and a master of arts in education at Wake Forest.

Bishop, who joined Wake Forest in 1981, has held a number of positions in Wake Forest’s Information Systems department. In recent years, she was director of intranet development. Previously, she taught in area schools, including the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system. Bishop received bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as a master of business administration degree at Wake Forest.
