In the event of bad weather, Wake Forest University students will have a number of places to turn this academic year for news about Reynolda Campus plans.

The Wake Forest News Service will provide radio stations WFDD (88.5 FM) and WSJS (600 AM) with timely updates on any university closings or delays due to inclement weather.

Students with voice mail may call their mailbox for broadcast announcements by the news service. In addition, the news service generally will distribute e-mail messages announcing the same weather-related information. Students may also call the university’s information desk in Benson University Center at 758-5255.

The 1998-99 Wake Forest telephone directory, under “Emergency Numbers” on the first page, provides details on telephone numbers that the entire university community may call to be informed about weather-related closings and delays.

To keep University Police telephone lines open for emergency calls, campus community members are encouraged not to call police for information about campus plans during bad weather.
