Pearson Named to National Science Foundation Committee

Willie J. Pearson Jr., sociology professor at Wake Forest University, has been appointed to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate of the National Science Foundation.

Pearson joined the Wake Forest faculty in 1980. He received a doctorate degree in sociology at Southern Illinois University after earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sociology at Wiley College and Atlanta University, respectively.
