Charles Moyer has been named acting dean of Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management. Moyer is Integon chair of finance and professor of management at the Babcock School.

Wake Forest provost David G. Brown announced Moyer’s appointment today. Moyer will begin his new responsibilities when Babcock School dean Gary E. Costley leaves in December to head International Multifoods Corp. in Minneapolis. Wake Forest announced Nov. 4 that Costley was leaving the school to serve as chairman, president and chief executive officer of International Multifoods.

Moyer joined the Babcock School faculty in 1988. He previously taught at Texas Tech University, the University of New Mexico, Lehigh University and the University of Houston.

At the University of Pittsburgh, Moyer received a doctorate in finance and managerial economics, as well as a master of business administration degree. He received a bachelor of arts in economics at Howard University.
