Temporary road in use at Reynolda Road entrance

A three-month project to improve a field for use by Campus Recreation has prompted construction this week of a temporary road at the Reynolda Road entrance to the University.

The gravel road will extend from the campus entrance down to a nearby area by Reynolda Village called Water Fall Field. Construction of the temporary road, which will be used by trucks and heavy equipment in the months ahead, began Thursday.

Grading and sodding of the field will be completed by December. When work is finished, the roadbed will be removed, mulched and allowed to re-establish as a natural area.
