Secrest Artist Series presents concert by Ian Bostridge and pianist Julius Drake

The Secrest Artist Series will present a concert Feb. 8 featuring a performance of Franz Schubert’s “Winterreise” by tenor Ian Bostridge and pianist Julius Drake.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall in Scales Fine Arts Center.  Doors open at 7 p.m.  A pre-performance talk will be held at 6:40 p.m. in Room M208, adjacent to Brendle Recital hall. It will be led by Bryon Grohman, assistant professor of music.

Bostridge has been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards. He is the recipient of the 2017 Grammy for Best Classical Vocal Solo.

Wake Forest University and Medical School faculty, staff and retirees receive free admission for themselves and one guest to each Secrest Artists Series performance. Wake Forest students receive free admission for themselves. IDs can be presented at the entrance to Brendle Recital Hall.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors age 62 and older, $10 for non-Wake Forest students age 12 and older, and $5 for children age 5 to 12.
